Marine Reserve and one of the best dive sites in the Mediterranean
El Toro Island, located off the southwest coast of Mallorca is one of the best places for diving in Mallorca. Declared a Marine Reserve in 2004, it stands out for its excellent conservation status and the abundant marine life it hosts.
Thanks to the protection of the area, diving at El Toro Island offers a truly unique experience, with a natural environment that showcases the Mediterranean at its very best.
Diving at El Toro Island is carried out with certified divers, and the dives take place along vertical walls, caves, and deep drop-offs that exceed 30 meters.
One of the main attractions of this marine reserve is the frequent presence of large fish. It is common to encounter large groupers, schools of amberjacks and barracudas, as well as dentex, moray eels, octopus, and nudibranchs. On some occasions, eagle rays or even sunfish can be spotted.
El Toro Island is a clear example of how marine conservation in Mallorca transforms the Mediterranean into a wild, life-filled environment. Diving here means enjoying a pristine and well-preserved site, making it an essential dive for anyone interested in diving in Mallorca.
